Do Kwon, founder of Terraform Labs, has been sentenced by a court in Montenegro to four months in jail for forgery of documents.

In the same ruling by Basic Court in Podgorica on Monday, two Costa Rican passports, two Belgian passports, and two identity cards belonging to Kwon and another Terra executive, Han Chang-Joon, were seized. Prior to his arrest, Kwon had proclaimed he was “not on the run,” despite South Korean and US law enforcement agencies beginning an international search and issuing a red notice from Interpol.

Kwon will remain in “extradition custody” for a period of six months while South Korea’s extradition request is being evaluated, a resolution determined by the Montenegrin High Court. These four months will be taken into consideration as part of the sentence.
